Port Macquarie

You won't fall short of things to do in Port Macquarie, and for that very reason we have collated the MOST IMPORTANT when visiting this scenically renowned region. Before we can get into the REAL reason we are here (food), I need to let know know of some of the other things this region has to offer...

1. Diamond Head Loop Walk

Before we can enjoy some of the most amazing food the East Coast has to offer, we recommend visitors hike Diamond Head Loop Walk which just touches the beauty of Crowdy Bay National Park. The park homes native heath and paperback forests as well as some breath taking views at Kylies look out. If you are lucky you might even see dolphins.

Catch this view at sunset and you will see quartz crystals as they sparkle off the cliffs edges. Bring a picnic basket and enjoy the views.

2. Camel Tours

This region is truly ACTION PACKED and if you are looking for a special and slightly out-of-comfort experience, why not give the famous Port Macquarie Camel Safari a go! They run on the picturesque Lighthouse Beach.

It is not only fun, but also an educational experience as you learn stories, faces and the history of the beach. You might even see a Whale! There are plenty of amazing fish and chip shops on the main strip that you can grab while having a break. Enjoy!

3. Doughheads
Whilst the seafood and Wineries in Port Macquarie are next level, keeping to the adventure theme of the region, why not try something a bit fun and exciting?
After a long walk at Diamond Head, Doughheads is a pastry store like no other, producing the highest quality doughnuts with flavours that will put a smile on your face and leave you wanting more.

There selection changes monthly as well as their shake range. I could keep going about their desserts however these pictures will capulate their taste better than my words
